Winner MBA Awards 2018 – Best Framed Construction
This ultra-modern luxury waterfront home simply has everything. It is luxury in every aspect and its clever design provides amazing and versatile living spaces, with all of this brought to life by an extensive collection of our LED strip lighting and our Slide wall lights. The stand-out lighting statement in this home has to be our LED strip lighting that has been recessed into the ceilings in both the living and alfresco areas. These not only provide exceptional functional lighting for the busy areas of your home but are also aesthetically unique as well. We have also used our LED strip lighting behind the mirrors of all the bathrooms, this is a great idea if you want to add a spa like atmosphere to your space, or for a soft ambient glow that won’t leave harsh shadows on your face.
We have also incorporated our Slide wall lights in the bedrooms, providing high quality task lighting over the home office and homework areas.

FAQs
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode; a semiconductor device that converts electricity into light. LEDs use approximately 85% less energy than halogen or incandescent lighting (hello power bill savings!) and also have a much longer lifespan, roughly 25,000 – 50,000 hours depending on the ‘globe’. LED’s are also eco-friendly, they don’t contain any harmful mercury, they don’t emit any CO2 and they can be recycled without harming the environment.
Kelvin (K) is a measurement of light colour and is not a measurement of brightness, 3000k is a warm white, whereas 4000k is a cool white. The higher the number of Kelvin, the cooler the light. Think of the ember warmth of candles or firelight (which is 1000k-2000k), compared to the blueish tint of daylight, which is around 5000k. The colour temperature will impact a number of factors, including the ambience of a space.
Our lighting consultants lean toward a 3000k as it is not too warm/yellow toned and will therefore provide a clean white finish that is also still soft. However this can differ as some people may prefer a cooler white to others. For example, homes that feature a monochromatic palette of whites and blacks will suit a 4000k better – to bring out the whites and not create a yellow wash.
Lumens are a measurement of the total amount of visible light from a light source, this is the term used in place of wattage on the old scale. Typically, closer to 100-lumen per watt is very efficient – a standard downlight at 10.5W should be closer to 900lumen – this means it is performing at a higher level with less power.
CRI stands for Colour Rendering Index, which measures the ability of a light to accurately reproduce the colour of various objects. The closer to 100, the higher the quality of the light source.
